Hair and Body Care
 The Gorgons are 3 sisters...daughters of Phorcys(old man of the sea) and Ceto (female sea monster) hwo lived just beyond the Earth, where the sun and moon couldn't reach.
In the beginning the sisters, Medusa (Queen), Euryale (wide flowing sea), and Stheno (Mighty) were beyond beautiful. And worked in the temple of Athena as prietesses.
But for some reason Athena became angry and turned them into gorgons.
There are 3 schools of thought for this:
1. Medusa claimed to be more beautiful then Athena
2. Medusa claimed to have more beautiful hair then Athena
3. Medusa and Poseidon lay together, willingly or not, in the temple of Athena.
The school of thought is that its the 3rd choice. But whatever the reason, Athena became horribly enraged at the sisters and turned them into monsters, with only Medusa remaining mortal and retaining her beauty so that she could draw men to her, turning them to stone when they looked into her eyes.
