The Lotus played a great part in the religions and world of the ancient Egyptians. The pure white lotus is the only one which simultaneously produces the fruit and the flower from the mud of the swamps. Much of the ancient Egyptian art has pictures of the lotus, since it was a symbol of the sun, creation and rebirth and so widely use in their religions for centuries.
The story of Atlantis originally came out of the world of the ancient Egyptians...so the lotus is an important flower for all to know. The lotus comes in white or pink, with 15 or more spreading petals with a yellow seedcase in it's center.
Lotus is a beautiful, warm pink.
